Let the class answer the given pre-test. This is to determine the class
prior knowledge on the different career and business opportunities in
agri-business.

Purpose/Intention Learning Task 1: Agri-Search and Classify
The class will be grouped into five. Each group will then be given a
word hunt/puzzle. For two minutes, they will be looking/looping for
words that are related to agricultural career and business opportunities.
After two minutes, they will classify whether the words fall into career or
business opportunity.

1. What does the given/searched words want to imply?
2. Are the words classified as career or business opportunities? How do
you say so?
3. What do you think is the difference between career opportunity and
business opportunity?
4. How did you find the activity?

The teacher will post the definition of the two terms on the board. She
will then ask the class to identify which among the two terms
corresponds or answers the given definition.
Career Opportunities – (employment opportunities) It involves working
for an employer and receiving salary for the services rendered during a
specified period of time
Business Opportunities – opportunities to start or own one self’s
business. It involves setting up and managing one’s enterprise which
offers more chances for innovation and having a greater financial
reward.

news clip features the Department of Agriculture program that
encourages young Filipino to pursue a career in agribusiness. Pause
