fact, that you can almost hear birds chirping in the air. *pause*
Almost. We are still inside a building.

SHENBA: Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, we are elated to

welcome you all to FIITJEE GLOBAL SCHOOL’S first ever Annual
Day!

NYLA: Christened Kalrav, very aptly so.

SHENBA: Kalrav refers to the joyous chirrupings of the birds-

*looks at >> for a second* And we’ve gathered to be enraptured
by the enigmatic ecstasy of events.

NYLA: We’re all eternally grateful that you’re able to join us

as we embark on this journey together. All our machinations will
prove to be fruitful as you witness the amalgamation of our
students and teacher’s efforts in this masterfully put together
event.

SHENBA: Buckle up for a journey beyond textbooks, where each

performance is a constellation of talent, twinkling with the
brilliance of our students.

JHISHNU: Avantika, have you ever imagined being in a world filled
with so much noise and distractions, is it that impossible to
be just calm and peaceful?

AVANTIKA: No, but I’m pretty sure that with a prayer song this

JHISHNU: To listen not only with our ears but also with our
heart.

AVANTIKA: Do you have any idea what event it is right now?

JHISHNU: Is it Dance????

AVANTIKA: Yeah, but not quite right. The Kalinga Narthanam is a

classical dance form that beautifully blends the traditional
and contemporary, telling stories that resonate through the
ages. It is not just a dance but a cultural narrative-

JHISHNU: Yes yes yes anyway- let’s get right into it. I doubt
anyone can resist the temptation of this dance.

HAARUNYA: Well- their question has been answered.

MITHILESH: Definitely. That dance was just- divine.

HAARUNYA: I agree, Those graceful moves, expressive seps and

vibrant costumes- just divine.
MITHILESH: Indeed! Next up, we have a special song our choir has
prepared just for you all.

HAARUNYA: Yes! Music has the ability to impact our mind. It

touches us at a deeper level than just hearing sounds, it speaks
to our soul.

MITHILESH: It can heal, inspire, uplift, and soothe the mind,

through its captivating melodies.

HAARUNYA: So, as we sit back, relax and let the melodies enchant
us, let’s give a thunderous applause to all the talented
musicians who have come together to make this possible.

NYLA: I don’t know about you, but I sure feel welcomed. It feels
like the evening has truly begun!

SHENBA: I agree! The past few performances have me all riled up!
I can’t wait for what the rest of the evening has in store.

NYLA: Is everybody here ready for what we have in store? *to

audience*

SHENBA: Well, let’s not keep you waiting! Up next we have the
shiva thandavam

NYLA:It is the dance of Lord Shiva, the god of destruction and

transformation in the Hindu mythology

SHENBA: This dance signifies the eternal cycle of creation,

preservation and dissolution

NYLA: And so, without any further delay, let’s give it up for
our dancers!

SINGING AND INSTRUMENTAL SONG - AJ

AVANTIKA: That was a divine journey into the realm of lord shiva
portrayed through the performance

JHISHNU: That was a vibrant and powerful dance!

AVANTIKA: Jhishnu, have you ever had that moment in your life
where you hear a song at an event that just sets the tone for
the rest of the event.

JHISHNU: Well, I’ve never, but i have a feeling that,that will

change after this performance

AVANTIKA: I know so that it will, music has the ability to impact

our mind. It touches us at a deeper level than just hearing
sounds, it speaks to our soul.

JHISHNU: Then why wait? Let’s enjoy the performance

THEME BHARATANATYAM DANCE - HM

MITHILESH: That was a performance like no other.

HAARUNYA: Each note, every harmony, and all the passion poured
into this performance have truly created a symphony-

MITHILESH: -One that has definitely set the tone for the rest
of the evening

HAARUNYA : Undoubtedly. Moving forward, dancing is not just an

art form; it’s a language that transcends words-

MITHILESH: -expressing emotion, joy and unity. It is a salutation

to the guru, the musicians and the audience.

HAARUNYA: This performance embodies the spirit of hospitality.

MITHILESH: It celebrates the diversity and richness of our
culture.

HAARUNYA: Exactly! Our dancers have put together a beautiful

classical dance on this very ideology.

MITHILESH: So Without further ado-

HAARUNYA: Let us sit back, relax and enjoy the performance.

VILLUPAATU - SN

SHENBA: I could feel the ethnicity in each one of us resonating

aloud! Bharatanatyam is one matchless craft,the mastery of
dances indeed! Next we have something as special as this!

NYLA: What might that be?

SHENBA: It is namma villu pattu. The Villupattu is a traditional

folk art form hailing from the southern regions of Tamil Nadu.
It is a captivating blend of storytelling, music and rhythmic
beats. Ever seen one before?

NYLA: Not really! I am very keen about this!

SHENBA: Let us not make you and the audience wait any longer
then!

SHENBA: Ofcourse, get ready to be captivated by the melodic

narratives and vibrant energy of this unique folk art form!
Let’s give it up for our unique ‘bow song’ which leaves you
bowing!

CHINESE FAN DANCE - AJ

AVANTIKA: That was an absolutely mesmerising performance

JHISHNU: A round of applause to our wonderful artists for sharing

their talent, passion and the essence of Tamil Folkware with us

JHISHNU: Next up, we have one of your favourites.

AVANTIKA: (gasps) The Chinese fan dance?

JHISHNU: The Chinese Fan Dance!

AVANTIKA: Oh I love those! The intricate movements, vibrant

costumes and of course the beautiful fluttering of the fans
never fails to enrapture me.

JHISHNU: For sure! The Chinese fan dance is a traditional art

form that dates back centuries. It has a deep cultural
significance.

AVANTIKA: You’re right! In fact, it originated as a folk dance

and has evolved over the years.

JHISHNU: And now it has become a symbol of grace and beauty in

Chinese performing arts.

AVANTIKA: Each gesture tells a story, and tonight , our dancers

will bring this ancient art to life. So, without further delay,
the stage is yours.

MITHILESH: Wasn’t that just beautiful?
HAARUNYA: Definitely! The dance with its fluidity, symbolism,
truly captures the essence of Chinese culture and artistry.

MITHILESH: Up next, we have a captivating play that will for

sure leave you giggling for the rest of the evening.

HAARUNYA: (laughs) I’m sure. The power of live theatre lies in

its ability to create shared experience, and we’re about to
embark on a journey filled with drama, laughter-

MITHILESH: -and perhaps even a few tears. So without further

ado, let’s get on with the performance.

HAARUNYA: Let’s make some noise everyone!

EAT RIGHT INDIA - SN

NYLA: Well that sure gave us an interesting way to learn. They
do have a point though, English is a pretty finicky language.

SHENBA: Honestly, communication is best done in whatever mode

we deem most comfortable. Afterall, it’s really just about the
expression!

NYLA: Precisely! Just like how I express my emotions very clearly

when I’m hungry

SHENBA: Nyla, we’re in the middle of a celeration.

NYLA: Shenba, we all have our own way of celebrations. Mine is

food
SHENBA: I thought you’d say dance, because dance is graceful and
creative. It shows us the passion of youth! The essence of hard
work and talent! the-
NYLA: Hey do you know why it’s easy to talk to ballet dancers?
Because they get right to the pointe. *short pause
Shenba: Alright! Up next we have a performance on the importance
of eating right! A beautifully put together dance!
NYLA: Let’s give it up for our dancers!

DANCE ON DREAM - AJ

JHISHNU: What an immaculate blend of dance and a healthy

lifestyle we have just witnessed. I'm sure we can all benefit
from such a lesson.

AVANTIKA: Of course! I certainly can! Now I know exactly how to

stay in shape. Six packs in no time, mark my words!

JHISHNU: We’ll see about that..

AVANTIKA: I'll take that as a Challenge.

JHISHNU: Sometimes we tend to forget to look past superficial

and surface level traits to see the beauty that lies underneath.
I’m sure we can all relate.

AVANTIKA: It’s true, even I am guilty of just this. To truly

enrich our lives, we must first open our eyes.

JHISHNU: Both literally,

AVANTIKA: And metaphorically.

JHISHNU: I take my words back….

AVANTIKA: You better. A big round of applause to welcome our

dancers!

MITHILESH: Have your eyes been opened by the spectacular display

of talent you just witnessed? *to audience*

HAARUNYA: Mine sure have! And as did my tear ducts apparently.

MITHILESH: Did you really cry?

HAARUNYA: Yes, tears of awe and joy at the sight I was greeted
with! Did we not watch the same performance?

MITHILESH: Yes we did, though breathtaking, it was not sad enough

to warrant tears.

HAARUNYA: Well, I was always more in tune with my emotions.

MITHILESH: Next up, we have a performance— a showcase of talent,

passion, and the boundless creativity that dance brings to life.

HAARUNYA: Are you all excited?

MITHILESH: Well I certainly am!

HAARUNYA: It’s a dance that promises to enchant and captivate

your hearts.

MITHILESH: So sit back and relax as our performers take centre

stage.

SILAMBAM DANCE - AJ
AVANTIKA: We were just witness to a rendition of the dance like
no other!

JHISHNU: So graceful and poised! They made it look so effortless!

Colour me impressed!

AVANTIKA: Precisely! And, guess what

JHISHNU: What?

AVANTIKA: Another equally graceful and finicky performance is

due!

JHISHNU: The Silabum Dance! Oh, I’ve been looking forward to

this one. Material arts is more than just physical prowess. It’s
a journey of mind, body and spirit.

AVANTIKA: One must have both discipline and skill to master the
moves we’re about to see before us today. Each technique tells
a story of dedication, focus, and the pursuit of excellence.

JHISHNU: Now I’m sure the audience is dying to see our stars,
so without further ado, let’s welcome our Martial artists!

SHENBA: That was intense! The fiery passion exuded by them almost
became tangible with the emotions they were able to express!
Absolutely marvellous!

NYLA: *Fighting stance* Watching that performance gives me such

a jolt of energy, I feel like I could do anything right now!

SHENBA: Anything?

NYLA: Yeah, anything!

SHENBA: At times, an unmoralized josh will make us go to any
extreme for a transient gratification, which eventually fades…
leading to our own destruction.

NYLA: (sighs*****)Ms philosophical! You can’t confuse me more

with your fancy words , can you?

SHEN: My bad, Nyla! You’ll understand it better with our next

effervescent event, an exuberant dance performance, with a
powerful storyline… Ladies and gentlemen,let us bring the roof
down for our next performance!

TAMIL DRAMA - HM

HAARUNYA: What a well orchestrated performance it was!

MITHILESH: We could feel the flow of joy resonating within us!

Truly magical! What do we have next?

HAARUNYA: I’m glad you asked. Now, I proudly present you all
with the wildest expression of storytelling, a play! A tamil
drama, with an unassailable screenplay enlightening our opinions
about gadgets!

MITHILESH: (Laugh) I’m sure we’re all experienced with that one.

HAARUNYA: Ladies and gentlemen, let's put our hands together for
the next mind blowing performance, the real play of the day!

CELEBRATION DANCE - AJ

AVANTIKA: That was a dynamic roller coaster of laughter! Let's

give one more huge round of applause for the natural
narration….
JHISHNU: What happened to Avantika? Why are you looking so
worried even after such a vibrant play?

AVANTIKA: I'm just on top of the world seeing this play but at
the same time, I feel a tinge of melancholy as the agenda tells
us that we’ve arrived at the end of the show…

JHISHNU: True… But let's be inclined towards the brighter side

of things… This end is for yet another impressive beginning..
That’s what our cosmos teaches us…

AVANTIKA: I understand, the awestruck gazing of this wonder is

all that matters! Let's celebrate the cosmos and celebrate life!

JHISHNU: Exactly, so my dear audience, let’s raise the roof for

our final dazzling act of the night,’the celebration of life’!
