Check and control all the processes related to laying of bituminous pavement and rigid pavement including those related to the mixing plant and transportation of the mixed material Prepare relevant aspect in Quality Assurance manual and institute Quality Assurance System Maintain a day-to-day diary Review and acceptance of test result for manufactured materials such as steel, cement, bitumen, etc. Calibration of lab equipment. Monitor construction methods Supervise all the tests to be done in different stages of construction, besides ensuring that specified tests are done as per stipulated specifications. Maintain record of all materials at site and review the control procurement schedule and assist the seniors in issuance of instructions for correcting the same, if deemed necessary. Assist in organizing independent tests other than the regular tests done by the laboratory personnel. Set-up control sections for the evaluation of proposed methods for construction of embankments and bituminous and cement concrete works. Review and acceptance of Mix design proposals for sub-base, base, bituminous and concrete mixes. Quality control testing of all materials and completed works and ensuring that all materials and completed works are as per the technical specifications. Design of concrete (all Grades), CTB, CTSB, DBM, BC and to prepare the JMF of GSB and WMM as per technical specification.
