Page 1 of 3 Release Notes: SoundPoint IP - BootRom BootRom Upgrade/Downgrade Path Due to some enhancements that are added to the BootRom software, it is not always possible to upgrade to certain versions from certain versions.
The following is a list of the upgrade and downgrade paths that are not supported:

Distribution The following files constitute the 2.5.0 distribution of the SoundPoint IP BootRom. For centrally provisioned systems, copy these files to the boot server and reboot the phone to upgrade.
Files Description bootrom.ld Executable binary image bootrom.ver Version file used by TFTP. Not used in FTP environments.
