As per UIDAI guidelines are AUA/KUA are mandated to allow biometric authentication only
from devices registered with them.
For the same it is required by dealers to register all biometric finger print devices used in any of
the applications including mobile application (Vitran) and map the staff using that device, only
the staff mapped to a device will be able to use that device for authentication, so if a device is
shared with multiple staff then it should be mapped with all staff (max 3 staff can be allowed for
a device at a time)
Validations
1. Max devices allowed to be mapped to a staff/user – 2
2. Max users allowed per device - 2
1. Login to Ujjwala portal
2. Choose option Add Biometric Device (Option available only for Owner and Manager
Profile)
3. Select the Device Model (Ensure that the selected Device RD service is running)

4. Click GetDeviceInfo
5. The device details are auto populated (if does not appear then check if the device RD service)

6. Click Submit Device
On successful addition of device the device is added in the Registered Device List
7. Map staff using the device – only the mapped users will be allowed to use this device for
eKYC from Vitran or portal
Click Add User button for the device you want to map a staff
8. Check the declaration – staff should be able to eligible to perform eKYC as per UIDAI
guidelines

9. Click Add User for the user to be mapped for device selected
10. Click to view users mapped to a device
11. If need to remove a user from a device then click on Remove User

12. Staff Login – Activate device mapping
13. Activate device
a. Click Select for the device to activate
b. Check the declaration
c. Click on Activate Device

List of activated devices mapped to the user is displayed
Now the user can use the device for eKYC from Vitran or portal
