1. SCOPE OF SUPPLY and TECHNICAL DETAILS
1.1. Dustless Mobile Hopper
It is common that bulk material handling
operations create dust which affects whole port
and neighboring areas.
Whether it is coal, grain, fertilizer or chemical
powders, particle sizes range from 1 um up to
50 mm
diameter creates a health hazard and pollution
to nature.
We design and manufacture tailor made turnkey material handling machinery for ports, shipyards, and
vessels.

” Dust Suppressing
Hopper with active
filter system ”
Flexible Gate Design
BSK Hoppers are equipped with a simple but
effective dust control system to minimize the escape
of dust during the grab discharge cycle.
The hopper is divided into upper and lower (2)
sections, separated by dust retention gate. This gate
comprises a series of pressed steel sections and
vertical rubber gates.
When material is released by the grab it falls through
the gate and accumulates in the inner hopper below.
This will displace a volume of air, which will attempt
to escape out of the hopper into the atmosphere
with an unacceptable amount of dust.
The elastic gate is employed to close due to the newly
created pressure differential between the hopper
and the atmosphere so forming a seal and effectively
acting like a one-way valve such that the dusty air is
contained.
Number of reverse jet filters are installed around the
hopper to extract and clean the dust laden air.
The elastic gate feature greatly reduces the volume
of exiting air necessary to control fugitive dust and
hence facilitates the use of small compact filters
instead of a large de-dusting system.
A simple approach reducing investment and
operating costs.
