Making Art
Activity Details:
▪ Draw a tree with different methods:
o Draw using your non-dominant hand.
o Draw in a square world where everything is square
o Draw using continuous lines.
o Color only the outside of the lines.

I. ANALYSIS:
*In the activity, did you observe how a simple change in how you interpreted a simple object
gives a different dimension to the subject matter? What does each box, with the tree, remind
you of after doing the exercise?
-as I have observed there was a simple change in the interpretation of the trees in each box.
Those tress in each box reminds of the different styles in art.

Activity No. 1.2.2
Examining Art
Activity Details:
▪ Research one of these artists. Try to observe how they used paint in their works. Simply
focus on the techniques.
a. Jackson Pollock
b. Rembrandt
c. Vicente Manansala
d. Ang Kiukok

I. Analysis

*How did they treat the material? How would you describe their paintings in terms of its
aesthetic appeal to you?
-Many artists plan their works by making small drawings before painting. Pollock developed
what he called a "direct method," applying the paint directly onto an empty canvas. He
painted by following his immediate thoughts and emotions. Pollock combined careful
movement with exact color and line. Their paintings depict the style of modern art like
Pollock who made an abstract art piece that suggest the life-force in nature itself, at others
they could evoke man's entrapment - in the body, in the anxious mind, and in the newly
frightening modern world.

Module GE 6
Activity No. 1.2.3
Analyzing Design
Activity Details:
▪ Consider these illustrations. Analyze why they fall short of good composition or design.
What is wrong with these designs?
- I think the wrong with those designs is that it has no center subject since there was some
other object included which covers the real focus or object that supposed to be the subject.
Therefore, there was no balanced with the designs.
Module GE 6
Activity No. 1.2.4
Analyzing Art Principles
Activity Details:
▪ These are some artworks that effectively used some art principles.
▪ Describe each image and state why the use of a specific principle became effective in
increasing/improving the impact and quality of their works.
▪ See if you can also find more principles present in the work.
▪ Use the space beside each image to briefly state your answers.

Scale and Proportion

it shows relationship between the object and the space. I think it was related on today's
scenario. Harmony and Pattern It shows the color balances and use the elements of forms
and colors. I think it is related to us Filipinos.

Activity No. 1.2.5
Creating your Own Logo, Emblem or Symbol
Activity Details:
▪ Create your own logo, emblem or symbol based on the guiding principles of art and
psychology.
▪ The image can be about a particular advocacy you want to promote, a tool or gadget you
envision creating in the future, or just simply you as a future professional.
▪ What color would represent your envisioned brand? What would be the shape and what
does it symbolize? How would you compress information yet have a strong impact in your
imagery?
-the color that would represent my envisioned brand would be a dominance of blue and
black. There will be a triangle shape but most likely an image that would represent as a
gamer. This logo is called as a gaming logo and gamer streamers used this on their streams
as their trademark. As a gamer, I have come up to this kind of idea in making a gaming logo.
This will serve as my trademark in the gaming streaming world.
▪ Draw and color your branding or logo in the box provided.

Activity No. 1.2.6a
Exploring Materials and Techniques
Activity Details:
▪ Explore Materials and Techniques by doing any of these activities.
▪ If the next procedures are not possible (e.g., you have no knowledge of video editing), you
may stick with the first procedure or activity.
1. Cover a bottle with different materials. Discover what you can use as long as it can stick to
the bottle. Use glue if needed. For ideas, you may cover with clay, paper mache, sawdust,
transparent material, decaying material, something rubbery, etc. Create at least four
variations of the covered object. Put the bottles next to each other.

2. Photograph each bottle. Use lighting and explore backgrounds that can complement your
work. Just be experimental. Layout the photos together. How do they look?
3. Create a 10 second clip or gif with a person interacting with the bottle.
Module GE 6
Activity No. 1.2.6b
Exploring Materials and Techniques (Analysis)
Activity Details:
▪Reflect how different materials and techniques can change the character and narrative of
an object you are portraying. Answer the sets of questions below.
a. What do you think is the most dominant design principles in the set of bottles you
made?
- The most dominant design principles in the set of bottles I made is the
appearance of flowering designs to make it lively and creative.
b. How did each covering change your perception of the bottle? Describe each
bottle:
- Each covering reminds me that a simple bottle can be a good decoration when
decorated with different art ideas.
c. If you were able to reach until the third procedure, how did another approach to
art-making (filming) change the context and the function of the bottle? What ideas
were you able to come up with as you interacted with the differently covered
objects?
- The creativity of decorating the bottles has been showcased in the video and
makes it even more artistic because of the manipulation of video editing. I have
come up of different designs not just those flowers but also there is an application
of other sets of materials in the bottle to make it more creative.
