Installing a PV Module Support (Concrete Foundation Not Required)
1 Determining the Direction and Tilt Angle of PV Modules
Determine the direction of PV modules based on design requirements. In the northern hemisphere, PV modules face south. In the southern
hemisphere, PV modules face north. The following table lists the tilt angle design specifications.

2 Installing Bases for the PV Module Support (Concrete Foundation Not Required)
2.1 Connecting the PV Module Support Bases
NOTE
When connecting the front and rear bases, ensure that the bolts are installed inwards,
The large washers that are 3 mm thick are used here.
1. Connect the end of the rear base without a pillar to the connectors.

2.2 Placing the Bases and Connecting the Positioning Rods
• When placing the bases in the foundation pit, ensure that the front base and PV modules point to the same direction.
• Distinguish between the positioning rod and connecting rod.

1. Place one group of bases in the foundation pit and use a transparent water pipe to check that the bases are level.
2. Route one end of the three positioning rods into the pillars on the bases and partially tighten them.

3. Place the other group of bases in the same way. Route the positioning rods and partially tighten them.

2.3 Backfilling the Foundation Pit
1. Fill braided bags with soil, tie
up the bag openings, and
place them on the bases.
NOTE
Place about 15 bags of soil on each group of bases.
2. Fill the foundation with soil, level it up, and tamp it.

3 Installing Cabinet Bases
Tall Cabinet Scenario (ICC330/ESC330/ICC710/ESC710)
1. Place cabinet bases in the cabinet foundation pit and align them at both ends.

2. Install steel channels.
Ensure that the openings of steel channels face outward.

3. Install horizontal beams.
NOTE
• Ensure that the openings of horizontal beams face outward.
• Determine the installation positions of horizontal beams on the steel channels based on the cabinet model and the spacing of
cabinet base mounting holes.

5. Evenly fill the foundation pit with soil to press the bases. When the half of the pit is filled, remove the positioning steel angles.
6. Continue to fill the foundation with soil, level it up, and tamp it.

Short Cabinet Scenario (ICC710)
1. Place cabinet bases in the cabinet foundation pit and align them at both ends.

3. Install two horizontal beams on the outer side.

• Ensure that the openings of horizontal beams face outward.
• Determine the installation positions of horizontal beams on the steel channels based on the cabinet model and the spacing of cabinet

4. Install positioning steel angles.

5. Evenly fill the foundation pit with soil to press the bases. When the half of the pit is filled, remove
the positioning steel angles.

6. Install a horizontal beam at the holes in the middle of the steel channels.
7. Continue to fill the foundation with soil, level it up, and tamp it.

4 Installing the PV Module Support (Concrete Foundation Not Required)
4.1 Installing the Front PV Module Support
1. Partially tighten the front right supporting beam.

2. Partially tighten the connecting rods for the supporting beam through corresponding holes.
When securing the connecting rods to the
left and right supporting beams, add a 3
mm thick washer on the inside of the
supporting beams.

4. Partially tighten the short raking struts for the supporting beams using M16x110 bolts.
NOTE
Partially tighten the bolts when installing
short raking struts at the supporting beams.

5. Tighten the lower part of the short raking struts for the positioning rod and then tighten the bolts at the upper part of the short raking struts.
6. Install steel angle A, B, or C.
NOTE
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 15°, install steel angle A (1687 mm long).
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 25°, install steel angle B (1782 mm long).
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 35° or 45°, install steel angle C (1933 mm long).

4.2 Installing Front PV Modules
1. Place the first PV module on the front of the supporting beams.
• When placing PV modules, ensure that the control box behind each PV module faces left
and is in the same direction.
• Ensure that each PV module is fully attached by hooks.
2. Secure the first PV module using pressing blocks.

4. Place the third PV module and use one group of left and right end clamping plates to secure it.
5. Tighten the nuts that are partially tightened on both ends of the connecting rods and the front-end positioning rod.
Ensure that each PV module is secured with
pressing blocks.
4.3 Installing the Rear Part of the PV Module Support
1. Tighten the connecting rods for the rear right supporting beam through corresponding holes.
When installing the middle and rear connecting rods, add
a 3 mm thick washer to the inner side.

2. Tighten the rear left supporting beam for the connecting rods.
When installing the middle and rear connecting rods,
add a 3 mm thick washer to the inner side.
3. Tighten the front and rear parts of the support using M16x110 bolts.
4.4 Installing Rear PV Modules
1. Install the rear PV modules, U-shaped positioning plates, and end clamping plates. For details, see 4.2 "Installing Front PV Modules."
When installing PV modules, ensure that the control boxes behind all PV modules face the same direction.

4.5 Securing the Rear PV Module Support
The method for installing rear raking struts and steel angles varies with the PV module tilt angle.
PV Module Tilt Angle: 15° or 25°
1. Partially tighten the long raking struts for the left and right supporting beams using M16x110 bolts.

2. Tighten the other end of the long raking struts for the positioning rod, and then tighten the bolts between the long raking struts and the
supporting beam.
NOTE
Two people need to work together when raising the long raking struts.
3. Install steel angle C or D.
NOTE
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 15°, install steel angle
C (1933 mm long).
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 25°, install steel angle
D (2517 mm long).
• Install the steel angle in the same tilt direction as the front
steel angle.

1. Install the top long raking struts.

NOTE
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 35°, install steel angle C (1933 mm long).
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 45°, install steel angle D (2517 mm long).
• Install the steel angle in the same tilt direction as the front steel angle.

3. Install steel angle E (1660 mm long).
Tighten the bolts for the steel angle in the direction shown in the figure.

4. Partially tighten the bottom long raking struts.

5. Partially tighten the top and bottom long raking struts using M12x90 bolts.
6. Raise the long raking struts to erect the PV module support.
Four people need to work together when
raising the long raking struts.

7. Secure the long raking struts。
• Two people need to work together on each side when
securing the long raking struts.
• Do not release hands until bolts are tightened.
• The bolts used here are not fully threaded. The flat
washers are large washers that are 3 mm thick.

8. Tighten the steel angle C or D for the long raking strut using M12x90 bolts, and then tighten the bolts that are partially tightened.
NOTE
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 35°, install steel angle
C (1933 mm long).
• When the tilt angle of PV modules is 45°, install steel angle
D (2517 mm long).
• Install the steel angle in the same tilt direction as the front
steel angle.

9. (Optional) Install steel angle C. NOTE
Install steel angle C (1933 mm long) only when the tilt angle of PV
modules is 45°.
4.6 Installing Connecting Plate Bolts
Use M16x110 bolts to tighten the front and rear parts of the support for the connecting plates through the spare holes of the plates, and
tighten the front bolts for the connecting plates.
NOTE
The figure uses the PV module tilt angle of
15° as an example.
NOTE
After installing the PV module support that does not require a concrete foundation, it is
recommended that the ground be paved with gravels.

2 Installing the PV Module Support (Concrete Foundation Required)
NOTE
• Ensure that the nuts in each group of anchor bolt face outward.
• When securing the front supporting beams, remove the two nuts and one flat washer from each front anchor bolt, and use them to
secure the beams.
• When securing the bottom of raking struts, remove the two nuts and one flat washer on the outer side of each of the middle and rear
anchor bolts, and use them to secure the raking struts. Retain the nuts on the inner side.

4 (Optional) Installing a PV Module Antitheft Alarm Cable
ECC500 Scenario
1. Route the cable through the holes at the rear of PV modules in sequence and bind the cable using cable ties.
2. Connect the cable to the DI_1 port of MUS01A in the ECC500.
NOTE
• The alarm cable should be
connected to the specified dry
contact. The right figure uses
DI_1 as an example. MUS01A

when closed, set the dry contact
to report an alarm when open.
ICC100 Scenario
1. Route the cable through the holes at the rear of PV modules in sequence and bind the cable using cable ties.

1. Route the cable through the holes at the rear of PV modules in sequence and bind the cable using cable ties.
2. Connect the cable to the DIN2 port of UIM in the ECC500S.
NOTE
• The alarm cable should be
connected to the specified dry
contact. The right figure uses DIN2
as an example.
• If the dry contact reports an alarm UIM
when closed, set the dry contact to
report an alarm when open.
