Dear Diary,

1️. Today was one of the worst days of my life as my best friend humiliated me
in front of everyone. We met in the canteen during the lunch break and I
thought that we will be catching up on what all happened with us during the
week but to my disappointment, she had something else in her mind. She
heard a rumor that I have complained about her to our teacher about the time
she carried a mobile phone with her. I was shocked by that accusation and
tried very hard explaining her that I would never do such things with my best
friend but she just didn’t want to listen to what I had to say and kept yelling at
me. I was hurt the most when she called me “backstabber” and she just went
away when the break ended. I was so sad about this situation that I did not
even finish my lunch and ran back home as soon as the school ended. We
are friends for the last 4 years and she did not show any courtesy to that.

2️. I know it is very easy to just end your friendship but I have decided not to
do it because I believe she is under the negative influence of someone and I
just feel that it is my duty to clear things out and sort the issue. So, I have
decided that I’ll give her the weekends time to think about what she has done
and if she does not realize, then I’ll directly go to her house and have a one -
on - one discussion with her.

Dear Diary,

1️⃣Today I went to a blind school as my school as my school partnered with

an NGO and my heart was overwhelmed by emotions as soon as I entered
the place. We went there to teach children younger than us and to perform
certain kind of activities with them. They were very excited as soon as they
sensed our presence and devoted their full attention to what we were doing.

2️⃣To be very honest, at first, I was angry on the universe or God that it had
done such un justice to them and felt a sense of pity towards them but as time
passed, I was amazed by their courage and will power to learn. The zeal with
which they took part in all the things we did brought tear to my eyes and I
thanked God for whatever he has given me and will continue to show my
gratitude towards him in a way that I’ll be visiting that school monthly and help
them in whatever way I can with my own resources. It was a very memorable
day.

You paid a visit to an “Old Home” with other NCC volunteers. Using the hints given below together with
your own ideas, make a diary entry of what you saw and experienced there.

On the 8th of December, just before the school could close for the Winter holidays
our school organized a volunteering trip to an Old Age Home nearby. I wasn't part
of the N.S.S society but I still gave my name to volunteer as one of my best friends
was going.
We went to (name of the old age home) and on reaching there we had to sanitize
our hands. I noticed there were so many senior citizens above 60 years. The
surroundings of the home were filled with a lot of tall trees with a lake behind the
home. It was such a calm and peaceful environment. All the rooms were spacious
with even a recreational room for the grandma's and grandpa's to sit and talk or
read a magazine or even play the piano if they wanted. All the bathrooms were
clean.
I even noticed a medical room where on a regular basis they get their check-ups
done. There was even a library for them to read books if they felt like. The Old age
home is almost like a Home away from home.

Taking help from the information given below, make a diary entry describing how you caught a thief red
handed one night

Vineet . 2 years, 9 months ago

6 July 2021 Tuesday 9:00 PM Today I witnessed a graceful evening. Our family had a nice
dinner and we entertained ourselves by watching TV and afterwards went to sleep. The sleep was
wholesome until it was disturbed by some strange sound. I heard some commotion and became
suspicious. I quickly switched on the lights and went to parents' room. By the time, they had also
got up. We found all the things in a mess and it was clear that someone had invaded there. We
started searching but nothing was found. At last, my eyes fell on the shoes behind the curtain. I
beckoned my parents and he was the thief. We all pounced on him and handed over him to
Police. All my family members praised me for this act. Indeed this was a memorable incident of
my life. Vineet
