NOTICE OF DEMOTION
I hope this letter finds you well. After careful consideration and a thorough review of your recent
performance and the overall requirements of your current role, it has been decided that a change in your
position is necessary. Effective 1 July 2024, you will be demoted from Senior Project Manager to Project
Coordinator.
This decision was not made lightly. Several factors were taken into account, including:
Consistent failure to meet key performance indicators for project delivery times and budget
management over the past six months.
Multiple instances of incomplete or delayed project reports despite prior feedback and coaching.
Recent client complaints regarding project communication and management.
We recognize the contributions you have made to the company and value your experience and dedication.
This new role will better align with your current skill set and provide an opportunity for you to focus on
your strengths while addressing the areas that need improvement.
In your new role as Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:
To assist with this transition, we are committed to providing you with the necessary support and resources.
You will receive training on project management software and a mentor will be assigned to help guide you
through your new responsibilities. We believe that with this support, you will be able to excel in your new
role.
Your new salary, reflecting the change in position, will be ₦4,000,000 per annum. All other terms of your
employment, including benefits, will remain unchanged.
