Information is provided by Basketball Manitoba for an ideal basketball facility build and has been approved by the Basketball Manitoba Board of Directors & Technical Committee. February 2023
FULL COURT. 94 feet long x 50 feet wide (28m long x 15m wide) measured from the inner edge of the boundary lines. CROSS COURT. Ideally, the side or
cross-court hoops are mounted at least 5 feet or 1.5m from the wall for safety reasons. Measure the 5 feet / 1.5m from the front of the backboard to the wall

The facility has a choice in selecting the line colours used but they should all be contrasting with other sport lines. Traditionally, basketball lines have been
the primary colour of the school or club or black. Volleyball lines have been a contrasting colour to basketball and badminton lines have traditionally be

not broken with other sport lines. Other basketball lines including the half court line, restricted area (key) sides and the semicircle at the top of the restricted
area can be the secondary lines when crossing other sport lines.

See all current court markings at... As of October 2019, Basketball Manitoba and the MHSAA are recommending new builds or floors undergoing refinishing to use only the FIBA lines introduced in
2010 including the new 4.9m wide rectangle restricted area (or 'key'), the new 'no-charge semi-circle' and use only the 6.25m 3 point line. All old lines are to be
phased out by 2019.
