II. Session Outline
Session Title: “Ensuring security”
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) have an understanding of the concepts of ensuring security
b) understand the importance of security
c) apply the key concepts they have learned to their daily lives.
Key Concepts:  Implementing measures to protect students from physical
harm, including securing school premises with appropriate
fencing, gates, and entry controls, as well as installing
surveillance cameras and alarm systems to monitor and
respond to potential threats.
 Developing and practicing emergency response plans for
different scenarios such as natural disasters, fires, medical
emergencies, or intruders. Conducting regular drills ensures
that students and staff know how to respond quickly and
effectively in emergencies.
 Implementing comprehensive anti-bullying policies and
programs to create a safe and respectful school environment.
Educating students, teachers, and parents about the signs of
bullying, how to report incidents, and strategies for conflict
resolution fosters a culture of respect and empathy.
