The graph below shows the number of passenger railway journeys made in Great Britain between
1950 and 2004/5.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
There was a similar pattern in the figures for the National rail network and the London Underground.
Specifically, regarding the National rail network, the number of passenger journeys started (1)_____ 1000
