Modu-tool Update Guide

To update a Modu-tool, the user must have a formatted 1GB or less USB stick provided with the Modu-tool or separately. The user then logs into their client area on the Modusystem website, downloads the update file, copies it to the USB stick, inserts the stick into the Modu-tool, and selects the update option to begin the update process, which can take up to 25 minutes to complete. Any errors should be reported to Modusystem support.

Requirements

Updating your Modu-tool requires the following:


• The Modusystem USB you’ve received while buying the Modu-tool or an USB stick
with 1GB or less memory
• This USB-stick has to be formatted in FAT-32

Update your Modu-tool step by step


1. Make sure you are registered in the client area on the Modusystem Website.
2. Log in the client area .
3. When you have purchased the Modu-tool update, you can find the download link in your
client area at downloads.
4. Click on the link and it will open in sharefile .
5. Click on ‘’download’’ and the update will download.
6. You can find the file in your ‘’downloads’’ on your computer, don’t open the file, but copy and
paste it to your USB stick in the main directory.
7. Make sure there are no other updates on your USB stick, if you do, this can cause problems
with updating your Modu-tool.
8. Plug the USB in the Modu-tool and rebooth your Modu-tool or go to ‘’support’’ on your Modu-
tool and click on ‘’update’’.
9. The update will start. It can take a while, sometimes it can last 25 minutes so give it time.
10. When the updates is finished you can check the software version in the left upper corner of the
Modu-tool.
