RESCUE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MACHINE ROOMLESS LIFTS

1- This lift is equipped with an automatic emergency rescue device (ARD).


2- In case of power failure, if the lift is not in the floor level, the ARD will move the lift
automatically to the nearest floor and opens the doors.
3- If the ARD fails due to any reason, the following instructions to be carried out carefully
in order to rescue the person in the lift.
4- Before starting rescue operation inform the entrapped person not to get panic.

Rescuing people trapped in elevators must be done only by authorized / trained people to avoid injuries,
deaths, and damages.
Procedure-1: Rescue Operation with Opening Landing Doors
Step:

1- Rescue operator should use the intercom to talk to the trapped people, asking the number of people inside
and advising them to keep calm and not touch the car doors.
2- To prevent electric shock, turn of power to the affected elevator.
3- Proceed with the rescue operation by opening the landing door with the key at the floor where the
elevator has stopped if the lift is stopped at a level less than ± 600 mm.

CAUTION: - If the elevator car is located at a level of more than ± 600mm to the nearest landing floor, do not

release the passengers and follow the Procedure - 2

Procedure-2: Manual Rescue Operation with Manual Rescue Device (MRD)

1- Press the ‘Public’ button power on the device (hold button 3 seconds) the ‘Run’ light flash at 1Hz
2- Press the ‘public’ button activated the device the ‘Run’ light flash at 10Hz
3- Hold the ‘Public” button then press the “Start” or “Forced” device output DC 110V power to release the
motor brake “Run” light remains ON
4- Hold the ‘Public” button and press the “Start” or “Forced” button together until the lift reaches the floor
level and proceed the Procedure – 1 to rescue the entrapped person.

Notes:

1- When the elevator is in the floor level (“Door” Led on) Only by hold both “public” and “Forced” button to
output DC110V power
2- Device will power off automatic when the grid power off and no any button operated between 30 seconds
