GENERAL DEFINITON OF PRINTER
The word printer comes from English, wich means a printing device. The
main function of the printer is to present writing or images on flat media
such as paper in varios sizes.
Since 2010, printers that can print in 3D have begun to be discussed, but
until now they are still in the development stage.
FEATURES OF PRINTER
1. Print technology
Print technology is a way of producing or convenying materials, such as books and
statistical visual materials, especially through mechacinal or photgraphic printing
processes.

2. Scanning feature
A scanner is a tool used to condition the shape and nature of objects, such as
documents, photos, waves, temperature and so on. The scanning results will
generally be transformed into a computer as digital data.
3. Print speed and resolution
Print speed and resolution is the number of dots per inch(dpi) that a printer can print,
and size is measured in pixels per inch(ppi).

4. Speed and size of copy document


The speed anf size of copy document is one of the important factors in all in one printer,
namely the copy speed. Just like slow print speeds, waiting a long time to copy document
will also reduce productivity. At least the printer has a copy speed of 25 pages per
minute.
5. Memory and fax page speed
Memory and fax page speed shows how many pages can be scanned and stored in
memory while the fax is being sent. A printer with a minimu fax memory of 100 pages can
be said tp be sufficient. Don’t forget to pay attention to speed. At the very least, choose a
printer with the ability to send fax pages in less than 5 seconds.

HOW PRINTER WORKS

In general, the way this smart machine works is by spraying the ink in the
cartridge through thousands of small holes called nozzles. This spray is in the
form of small dots, which form a text document or photo.
CONCLUSION
From the discussion presented above, we concluded that a printer is a
device that display data in form prints, both in the form of text and
images/graphics, on paper. The printer consists of various types, namely
dot-matrix, inkjet, laser and many more other. Each of these printers
has weaknesses and its own advantages, depending on the
specifications.
