4.4 Configurations Supported in AA WinLab Version 3.0

With the increasing number of combinations of spectrometers, accessories, Operating


Systems and IEEE cards, it has become necessary to restrict the number of configurations
that are supported with AA WinLab version 3.0. The table below lists the configurations that
are supported by version 3.0. All other configurations are not supported. This includes
systems utilizing Win 3.1 and 3.11. Compatibilty of AA WinLab version 3.0 with PCIIA
cards has not been determined at this time. If additional information regarding
compatibility becomes available, you will be informed. In the interm, it is recommended
that the PCIIA card be replaced with a TNT or PCI card if problems are encountered.

5. Installing a New PC (Windows 95/98)


5.1 Power Management of the PC

Switch off any Power Management of the PC.


Please refer to the PC Manual for instructions. Typically the
Power Management must be switched off in the BIOS and
Windows environment.
Using Power Management could result in the loss of data!
