1. Motivation
The teacher presents pictures.

What do you see in the first picture? There are garbage everywhere. It is
very dirty. There are many pest and
cockroaches.
How about in the second picture? The place is so clean.
In which place do you want to live? In the second picture ma’am.
Do you know what to do in order to live in
a place like in the second picture? Yes/No, ma’am.
2. Presentation
This morning we are going to discuss
“Ways to Maintain a Healthy
Environment” and I want you to listen
attentively because at the end of our
discussion you are expected to identify
ways to maintain healthy environment,
discuss the importance of maintaining
healthy environment; and list simple
ways to maintain healthy environment.
3. Activity 1
Now class, I have here 5 balloons. I
will call 5 students to pop each of the
balloon and tell me what the mystery
items are inside.
Who wants to pop these balloon? (pupils raising their hands)
Okay, Jean, Ian, Lextir, Daina, and Pupils do as told and presents the
Demm you may please pop the balloon. pictures from the balloons.
(Each pupil will describe the pictures while
the remaining pupils will identify if the
picture is good practice or not.)

healthy and safe? It is environmental sanitation.

items, minimizing the use of chemicals,
disposing hazardous materials correctly,
proper waste segregation and cleaning
