IV. BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:

In adherence to DepEd Order No. 176 s. 2019, the Schools Division of Pasay City
through the Curriculum Implementation Division will hold the Division Schools Press
Conference and Contests with the theme, "Building Resilient Communities: The Role of
Journalism in Post- Pandemic Recovery" shall be held on April 29 and May 5-6, 2023, at
Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School

V. OBJECTIVES:

The conference and contests aim to:


a.) demonstrate understanding of the importance of journalism by expressing it
through different journalistic endeavours and approaches.
b.) sustain advocacy on social consciousness.
c.) promote responsible journalism and fair ethical use of social media; and,
enhance journalistic competence through healthy and friendly competitions.
