3. Documentation as per inspection process in each activity
3.1 Not attaching previous test reports or RFI to SCOP RFI
a) Attach only ITP documents (checklist, drawings) NOT previous test reports or RFI.
b) For example, RFI for compaction test on final layer (W),
Attach only ITP documents NOT previous documents such as visual inspection RFI
or test reports for previous layers due to below reasons.
- There is no ITP requirement to attach previous documents.
- All site activities including QC are performed under JV responsibility.
- Each laboratory has issued test reports to SCOP and JV.
- Inspection point (W) means site witness not reviewing previous documents.
c) Instead of not attaching previous documents, previous status of each activity
should be managed by JV construction and QC.
- For compaction test, from subgrade to latest layer
- For concrete strength test, from lean concrete to latest structure.
3.2 Visual Inspection RFI
a) RFI for below visual inspection should be issued and submitted to JV QC only
without RFI No. and inspection schedule.

Visual inspection RFI Remark

Compaction for odd layer

No SCOP inspection point
(1st layer, 3rd layer, 5th layer and ETC)

Surface preparation for bitumen coating No SCOP inspection point

Surface preparation for joint sealant No SCOP inspection point

Surface preparation for minor concrete defect As per approved method

statement (IONE-AA00-MS-CS-
Application for minor concrete defect 0019)

3.3 Receiving inspection

a) RFI for receiving inspection should be submitted to SCOP after PMC confirmation.
b) If FMAR or PI (Pro forma Invoice) is not attached to RFI, JV QC should instruct
JV construction to take action before submitting RFI to PMC
3.4 Survey
a) Survey sticker should be changed before the first day of each month.
b) Survey report should be signed by JV surveyor or JV construction engineer.
c) Each surveyor who operates instrument should have copy of calibration certificate
at site.
3.5 Repairing concrete defect

a) In case of minor defect which depth is less than rebar cover

- Before surface preparation, take picture proving the depth of defect is less than
rebar cover.
- RFI for surface preparation and application should be submitted to JV QC only
without RFI No. and schedule.
- Checklist for concrete repair inspection should be attached to aforementioned
RFIs.
b) In case of serious defect which depth is more than rebar cover
- Follow inspection process as per approved ITP (IONE-AA00-ITP-CS-0007).

Remark :
3.5 Protection during cold weather

a) Definition of cold weather

As per chapter 2.2 of ACI 306R-10,
cold weather is defined as below.
“When air temperature has fallen to, or
is expected to fall below, 4℃ during
protection period ; Protection period is
defined as the time required to
prevent concrete from being affected
by exposure to cold weather.”

b) Protection method
As per chapter 7 of ACI 306R-10, protection should be performed by enclosure
using remaining form and covering exposed surface after concrete placement.
c) Protection period
