Risk: Who is at risk: Lightly hood What is our plan to minimize risk and/or injury:
of risk from
1-10:
Falling Hazards All Cast and Crew 3 If we are using equipment with wires, we can use duct tape to secure cables
members together. We can keep all equipment organized together in one place and make
sure that the condition of the filming set is safe before shooting.
Medical Issues All Cast and Crew 9 Actors with diabetes will need frequent checkups to ensure that blood sugars are
members at a safe level. A medical/first aid bag could be taken in case other crew members
fall poorly and need medical attention.
Damage to Crew members 4 To avoid equipment from being broken, crew members need to make film gear
Property inaccessible to members of the public and share weight distribution of heavy
equipment to prevent it from being dropped.
Theft All Cast and Crew 5 We can prevent any possessions from being stolen by having somebody on set
members manage property and act as security. This could also apply to filming equipment
and/or anything that is expensive.
Terrorism All Cast and Crew 2 This would be a very extreme case as a tunnel would not usually be a target. In
members this case however, we would need to make sure we are familiar with the area to
find an escape route and have the accessibility to contact somebody in an
emergency.
Anti-Social All Cast and Crew 5 Filming in a public space will bring much attention and so in preparation we can
Behavior members think about hiring security as extra support and aim to film quickly to avoid too
much disruption as this is a place where many people walk.
Extreme All Cast and Crew 8 Research before filming will be necessary to make sure everyone is dressed
Weather members appropriately. For example: if it is raining heavily on shooting day, we can bring
Hazards waterproof coats and umbrellas to make sure cast/crew and equipment remains
dry. If surfaces are slippery to film on, all participants may have to work as a unit
to support each other and to ensure nobody is injured.
Failure of Crew members 3 Backup equipment and safety gear may be needed in the extreme case something
Equipment breaks, catches fire etc.
Hazardous All Cast and Crew 4 In the likelihood that the tunnel is completely unsafe, we will have to do safety
Conditions members checks and have a backup location if it is too unsafe, and actors or crew are at risk
from the set collapsing etc.
Public All Cast, Crew 7 Filming in a public space may cause alarm or disturbance to the public. To prevent
Disruption members and public this from happening, security can alert members of the public about the filming
set, so they are not in shot and have notice. This can also prevent us from getting
in trouble due to complaints.
Phone All Cast and Crew 4 Filming at a minimal distance away from major locations with easy access to
Reception members service/mobile network or help will keep us safe in the case of an emergency.
