Technical Entry Leadership Assignment

Instructions:

Write a report that demonstrates how you applied the leadership skills you learned in
the training program to achieve the organization's vision and mission within your
workplace.

Your report should include the following sections:

1. Introduction
 Briefly introduce the purpose of your report.
 Explain how the leadership skills covered in the training program are aligned and
linked with the organization's vision and mission.

2. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making


 Explain a problem you encountered in the workplace.
 Describe the process you used to make a decision to solve the problem.
 Evaluate the effectiveness of your decision and its impact on the team and the

3. Setting KPIs and Giving Feedback with Ownership
 Identify a key performance indicator (KPI) that relates to the
organization/function KPI and is relevant to your team and Create KPI for two
subordinates.
 Explain the feedback process you used to communicate with your team about the
KPI and how you take responsibility (Ownership) for your feedback and rating.
 Evaluate the effectiveness of the feedback process and its impact on the team's
performance.

4. Managing Your Team at the Workplace


 Describe a situation where you had to manage a conflict or challenge with a team
member while keeping the organization's Values in mind.
 Explain the approach you used to address the situation and maintain productivity.
 Evaluate the effectiveness of your approach and its impact on the team's morale.

5. Data Reporting and Analysis


 Describe a project or initiative that you led involving data reporting. Specifically,
discuss your role in designing, creating, and disseminating reports. Additionally,
please describe your experience with data analysis as it relates to this project.
 Attach any relevant documents or data sets related to the project for review.
 Evaluate the effectiveness of your Analysis and its impact on the project's success.

6. Planning and Prioritizing


 Describe a project or initiative that you led involving planning and prioritizing.
Specifically, discuss your role in creating project plans, setting priorities, and
allocating resources. Additionally, please describe your experience managing
project timelines and ensuring deadlines were met.

7. Engaging Your Team


 Evaluate how engaged your team is ( job satisfaction, motivation, and overall work

 Create a plan that includes ways to improve communication, recognition,
professional development, team bonding, and a timeline.
 Put the plan into action and track progress.
 Gather feedback through surveys and adjust the plan accordingly.

8. Developing Yourself and Others
 Know how to identify development needs
 Identify own learning style(s) and the learning style(s) of another member of the
team:

 Use a simple technique for identifying own development needs and the development
needs of another member of the team
 Identify potential barriers to learning
 Explain how barriers to learning can be overcome
 Know how to develop self and others to achieve organizational objectives

 Briefly analyze learning/development options to meet need(s) of self and another


member of the team.
 Identify support mechanisms for the development of self and another member of the
team.
 Prepare a development plan to achieve a learning objective for self or another team
member.
 Describe a method that could be used to monitor the development of self and another
member of the team.

9. Conclusion
 Summarize the main points of your report.
 Reflect on what you learned from the training program and how you plan to
continue applying the leadership skills in your role as a shift team
leader/supervisor in the plant while promoting the organization's vision and
mission within your workplace.

10.Make a Presentation
 Design a PowerPoint that includes all the above points.
 Attach photos of your evidence to the slides.
 Conduct the presentation to your 2 Function Heads and Coaches including your
Head.
