Your ORB activities should be SMART goals.
SMART means:
Specific- goals are clear and defined. If your goals are too general they will be hard to accomplish.
Measurable- you must be able to measure your progress toward your goal so you know when you have
reached it.
Action Plan- set an action plan that tells what you are going to do.
Realistic- make sure that your goal is not too hard or too easy.
Time Limit- state about how long you will take to complete the goal.
Physical
Basic Goal SMART Goal
To improve fitness, balance and flexibility by I want to improve my fitness, balance and
doing yoga. flexibility by doing yoga. I have never practiced
yoga before and I want to challenge to be able to
complete Surya Namaskar at a hard level. This is
my major activity and will involve weekly yoga
sessions to focus on meditation, breathing,
stretching, balance and fitness. I will start at
beginner level and over the course of 6 months
progress to intermediate level and then to hard
level.
Skills

To improve skills in acrylic painting and be more To be able to produce a landscape painting using
confident while painting acrylic paints over the course of 3 months.
I have very little experience using acrylic paints so
this will challenge me but I am willing to learn
new techniques. I will attend weekly classes and
also practice at home on my own.
Voluntary Service

To raise awareness about Anti- Bullying I want to raise awareness of bullying within my
school and in particular with the Gr 7 year group.
I am a member of the anti-bullying committee in
school but have never worked on an awareness
campaign with younger students which will be
both exciting but challenging. The campaign will
run over the course of 4 months and I will
develop my social media skills.
Adventurous Journey

How does a two day trek affect teamwork For my group’s 2 day adventurous journey, our
amongst friends? purpose is to determine how the following
effects teamwork within our group:
hiking, navigating, being in the desert heat,
carrying rucksacks of kit, hydration levels,
nutrition, camping etc…
We will monitor each team member’s
participation level throughout the journey.
