3. Job Set-up
SUBTASK 34-43-00-480-050-A
A. Put an TAPE - 3M CONDUCTIVE ELEC(X-1181-COPPER OR X-1170-ALU) on the RA recept
ion antenna 2 (5SA2). On the antenna, put as many aluminum tape layers as necessary
to prevent display of the radio height value on the PFD (equivalent to the in-cruise condi
tion for the RA).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002.
(2) Do the ADIRS alignment procedure Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-004.
(3) On the panel 13VU, on the CAPT and F/O EFIS control sections of the FCU:
- set the mode selector switch to ROSE/NAV
- set the scale selector switch to 10.
SUBTASK 34-43-00-865-141-A
C. Make sure that this (these) circuit breaker(s) is (are) closed:
(a) On the center pedestal, on one MCDU, get the LGCIU 1 page and simulate a
flight condition Ref. AMM TASK 32-69-00-860-001.
(b) Push the line key adjacent to the NOSE+LH+RH FLIGHT indication.
NOTE: For the test of the TCAS top antenna, put the ATC/TCAS test set on an ACCESS
PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) .
(1) Put the ATC/TCAS test set in position on the right side of the aircraft at 40 ft. (12.
19 m) from the bottom (top) antenna and at the same level as the antenna.
(2) Connect the test antenna to the ATC/TCAS test set.
(3) Make sure that the test antenna is in the line of sight of the TCAS bottom (top) an
tenna.
(4) Energize the ATC/TCAS test set.
SUBTASK 34-43-00-865-082-A
F. Open, safety and tag the circuit breaker(s) that follow(s). Use the SAFETY CLIP - CIRCUI
T BREAKER as necessary.

A. Functional Test of the TCAS Antennas
ACTION RESULT
1.On the ATC/TCAS test set:
- Set the ATCRBS/MODE S/TCAS/XPD
R TEST selector switch to the TCAS
position.
- Set the TCAS-intruder scenario sele
ctor-switch, so that the intruder has
the same altitude as the aircraft.
- Set the range to 14 NM.
- Set the closing speed to +600 kts or
more.
2.Start the test. On the ATC/TCAS test set, the scenario star

On the right side of the ND, after some min
utes, a minimum of two symbols come into
view one after the other:
- A yellow circle (Traffic Advisory) in the
5 NM range.
- Then, the yellow circle becomes a red
square (Resolution Advisory).
