SUBJECT: EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE POLICY

The management would like to remind all the employee that apart from work performance,
attendance is one of the top factors to determine an employee’s effectiveness. The Employee
attendance policy aims to make sure that there is proper and required resources and staffing at
each department. This type of policy is defined as the company’s expectations from employees
with regard to their working schedules.

SCOPE

This company attendance policy applies to all employees regardless of the department and of
what position they hold.

ON ABSENCES

An employee is considered absent when an employee fails to report to work and consequently is
unable to perform the tasks assigned to him/her on such deadlines. Such absences, when made
several times, is considered absenteeism.

ON TARDINESS

 Tardiness occur when an employee fails to report for work on time or past the scheduled
time of the start of his/her shift.
 When there is an extended break time/meal time/over breaks without the superior’s
approval.

NOTIFICATION

 An employee who believes he/she will be late is obliged to notify his direct supervisor 2
hours before the start of the shift.
 If an employee is planning to be absent, the employee needs to inform his/her direct
superior (team leader/manager) at least 1 day/week prior to the date he/she plans to be
absent.
