Evaluation Report
INTRODUCTION:
For my assignment, I will be accessing the computer network which I created
for First Music. In this assignment what i'm going to do is explain the purpose
of the network, user requirements like the software resources and hardware
components and how the network meets the requirements of the user, as well
i will need to review both my designs compare my final design to my
alternative design.
Purpose of the Network:
The reason I created this computer network is because First Music is looking
to broaden their business however they don't have any prior experience. First
Music will provide classes to educate people on how to download music and
configure MP3 devices. The network will make sure that customers will have
access to download music and allow the staff to search for any music. The
manager will ask for centralised printing and the network will be cost effective
and also secure.

How well the network meets the user requirements, and purpose based on
feedback.
This is the blueprint for the network I intend to create for First Music. The
network comprises three Windows 10 desktops, a smartphone, a
versatile printer, a switch, and a router that links the network to the
internet. The network is a Local Area Network (LAN) that employs
ethernet cables for connectivity. Although ethernet cables are pricier
than WIFI, they provide enhanced security and faster internet speeds.
Final Network against intial design considerations:
This is my alternative design of the network that I am making for first
music. This network is a LAN and its tapology, unlike my current network
all the computers are connected to a ring which is connected directly to
the router. The reason why I didn't use this network is because if one
cable from the network is broken or not working then the whole network
will go down. Another reason why I didn't use this network was because
Windows 8 was a really bad operating system according to the vast
majority, so I decided to go for Windows 10.
Changes that are made throughout the development & rationale of the
changes:
There was nothing changed all over the creation of the network because of my team
that was also working with me while doing it. Which meant that there were no
changes through there was also another plan to set up the network
Further Network Improvement- Recommendations
Recommendation 1:
I would like to improve my storage for the network because it would need
a lot of storage to run the company and keep all the computers with free
storage and to not have a storage problem because the storage would
be expanded.
Recommendation 2:
I will purchase two speakers for each desktop which is the only way
people can listen to music is to bring headphones however if they don’t
have a pair of headphones then they won't be able to listen to music, but
if they have speakers then anyone who does not have any headphones
can access or listen to music.
CONCLUSION:
For this assignment have outlined the role of the network, its hardware
and software, as well as the number of files and folders that make up the
entire network. I identified all the components of the network, compared
it to my alternative design, and then explained the changes I made to
improve it. Finally, I provided two recommendations for improvement.
