EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 01


Series of 2023

DESIGNATING ONE (1) SANNGUNIANG BARANGAY MEMBER TO HANDLE THE


ENVIRONMNTAL CONCERNS AND MANAGE THE MAINTANANCE OF THE
BARANGAY COMMUNITY GARDEN

WHEREAS, DILG MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2023-001dated January 3, 2023


mandated the Provincial City, Municipal and Barangay, DILG Regional Offices BARMM
Ministry of the Interior and Local Government and all other concerned to implement the
Halina’'t Magtanim Ng Prutas ay Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay Project.

WHEREAS, the Local Government Code of 1991 mandates the Barangay Officials to
promote and protect the general welfare of their constituents;

WHEREAS, its lead the promotion of barangay community gardening to their


community including its importance and benefits as well as the products produced through the
community garden.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROLANDO F. ALBINO, Punong Barangay, Barangay


PAITAN, Santa Maria, Pangasinan, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby
order:

SECTION 1. Designating Kagawad Pilar P. Agpawa to handle the environmental concerns, and
to lead and manage the establishment and maintenance of the barangay community garden.

SECTION 11. Designating the Barangay Nutrition Scholar, who shall assist in the operations
and maintenance of the barangay community garden.

SECTION 111. Include to the Barangay Development Plans and Annual Investment Programs
to ensure adequate funding for nutritional impact.

SECTION 1V. Ensure the formulation or revision of the barangay nutrition action plan in line of
the full devolution to include the establishment and maintenance of Barangay Community
Garden.

SECTION V. Functions
a. Handles the environmental concerns of the barangay.
b. Manage the establishment and maintenance of the barangay community garden.
c. Identify the areas where the barangay community garden shall be establish.
d. Allocate barangay funds for the barangay community garden.
e. Encourage the residents to set up their family vegetable garden in available spaces.
f. Find alternative sources of funds other than the regular barangay budget.

SECTION VI. Effectivity

This executive order shall take effect immediately.

Done on the 20th day of January 2023 at Barangay Paitan, Santa Maria, Pangasinan.
