A. After my orientation session with my practicum supervisor and cooperating principal, I
need to equip myself with the Practice Teaching kit to better prepare myself in this
wonderful world of teaching.

I need to be knowledgeable enough about the topics

to be tackled so that the information I am going to

avoided.
Knowledge

I should possess the essential skills in making sure

that the learners’ varied learning styles and

the methods and techniques that I will be utilized.

I should have unending patience and wide

Attitude understanding for the learners so that I can
determine the things I need to do. Thus, these
attitudes are great components in the sense that as
teacher, it’s really your task to handle and teach
students well.

Habits
Each action must be fun and important to me. To
accomplish so, I must first be free of mannerisms
so that the students’ attention is not distracted,
perhaps lowering their interest in my conversation

My Analysis

Orientation sessions are conducted because student teachers must be well-prepared for
any situation and what to do both inside and outside the house collaborating school grounds.

Am I really prepared to teach? Why? Why not?

Yes, I am confident in my ability to teach because I have already gained a great deal of

My Big Ideas (Learning Essentials)

As a student intern, I must be fully aware that:

 each individual is unique

 students vary in learning styles.
 students learn through different modalities.
 the learning environment must be safe, secured, friendly, non-threatening and must treat
students with fairness.

My Tasks (Activities)
A. Observe the learners on your first day of internship. What are your observations?
 Students are diverse in terms of culture
 Students have Multiple Intelligences
 Students have different behavior
B. Create an opportunity where you can gather their thoughts, ideas and feelings about
their school/subject/ classmates.

About their school

Students think that staying in school gives them the flexibility to do whatever they want.
They prefer staying at school with their friends and classmates and conversing with one
another. They treat the school as if it were their own home, and their teachers as if they
were their parents. However, due to the pandemic, they are constrained in their ability to
collaborate.

About their Subject

They have too many subjects. They couldn’t possibly study all night. Others attempt to
complete their modules at school.

About their Classmates

Because of their teamwork and friendliness, students adore their classmates. They
assisted one another in accomplishing school responsibilities as well as personal
activities. They foster a calm learning environment.

C. What are the rules I need to set to ensure quality instruction among my learners? Use
innovative ways to make your rules known and followed.

My Analysis

Why do we need to know the various types of learner?

We need to know the various types so that we will be able to create a differentiated
activity suited for the different types of learners having multiple intelligences, different
learning styles and individual differences. I also believe that there should be no learner left
behind and so as future educator, I should know first my learners about their family
background so that I can decide on what type of teaching strategy to be used.

My Reflection / My Insights
As a teacher, how will you respond to the needs of your diverse learners?
 As a future educator, I should listen to the concerns of the students. I should know their
learning needs by knowing them more and create a strategy that is suited for the various
learners. Moreover, I believe that Education is for all that’s why, there should be no
student left behind.

 Checking of Attendance

My Big Ideas (Learning Essentials)

To prepare for the first episode/ activity, remembers Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA), a

Identify and analyze the episode/ problem.

THINGS TO DO

or varied activities.

DO  I will implement and achieve what I had planned.

CHECK  I will check and analyze if I achieve successfully my

goals and objectives

ACT  I will make my class discussion memorable with values

and moral.

My Analysis

What benefits did you gain after utilizing the PDCA Cycle?
 It can bring benefits where there are unknowns, often common at the start of a
project. So the PDCA process will ensure that the unknowns are either proven or
even discounted.
 The PDCA process will ensure that whatever the identified goal or objective is,
the repeated planning, doing, checking and acting will drive forward
improvement, because there is no room for complacency using this method.
 Constantly evaluating, measuring performance and then re-evaluating leads to
substantial growth in improvements; sometimes by small steps, sometimes by
huge leaps.

because I know that with the help of PDCA, I am capable of accomplishing what a

I think I can do better if I have self-confidence and a long period of time for
