2023 Track and Field Clinic

Frank Gonzales: In my 26th year of coaching Cross Country and Track at West Covina High School, 20th year as Head Coach. During Track
season I oversee Distance and Pole Vault. During my time at West Covina I have coached athletes to the CIF Finals, Masters and State Meet in both Cross
Country and Track. I have coached Footlocker National Champions and the former Mt. SAC cross country course record holder Diego Mercado
(14:24). During my time at West Covina I have also coached USATF Jr. All Americans and National Champions which produced USA Jr. Team members. I have
also been part of the Mt. SAC Pole Vault Clinics. While coaching at West Covina I also coached Pole Vault at the University of LaVerne for 4 years. There I
produced School and Conference record holders as well as All Americans, including the NCAA Div. III West Region Female Field Athlete of the Year.

We have a limited amount of Pole Vault Poles, Shot Put and Discus
Okay to bring your equipment if you have

PARKING:
a. Available in the Teachers or Student Parking Lot.
b. Please park in marked stall only.
c. No Parking near the GYM or Track.

Entering and Exiting the Facility and Clinic Rules:


a. Spectators Not Allowed on the track and on the in- field.
b. Participants include: student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, meet officials & school
officials, etc.
c. No Loitering anywhere on the campus.
