The Ultimate Product Research PDF

My name is Sandesh, I’ve found every single product inside of the viral vault & been working with Jordan for
almost 5 years. I wanted to create this to share everything I know about product research. Enjoy.
Market Trend vs. Market Cycle vs. Evergreen Products
- Market trends are often short-lived and quick "pumps and dumps," implying that they have a short-term
explosive rise (eg: Sunset lamp, Fidget spinner, etc)
- A market cycle can be defined as products that emerge every year and are related to the upcoming
seasons/holidays (eg: Halloween masks, Christmas gifts, water fountains in the summer season, etc)
- Evergreen products are a specific niche/product that solves a problem. It is neither a trend nor a cycle, and it
can be sold all year. They have a target audience in mind and have huge long-term sustainability for long-term
growth (eg: Health, Fitness, Sports, Beauty, Weight Loss, Gaming, Relationship, Tech, etc)
You should ideally focus on Evergreen products. They make the most money & have longevity.
The Key To Finding Winners
The key to dropshipping is to sell what is already selling.
Examine your competitors' social media, ads, and websites.
Find a product that is already selling well and make it your own.
Make a list of what they're doing well and what you can improve on.
Create a better offer, test a different angle, price competitively, improve content, ads, landing pages, bundles,
different channels, and so on.
There is a demand, so go get a piece of the pie. This is how you make money in ecommerce.

Method #3) Researching With Amazon
Amazon is one of the largest online marketplaces. There is no doubt that if you take the time to look at each
product, you will see thousands of ideas.
That, however, is too tricky. The best approach is to examine the categories.
Step 1: Identify a category to dive deep on
Start your research by selecting an Amazon category. When you click on a category, a list of subcategories
appears.
Each of the subcategories has its own sub-subcategory.
Step 2: Select one to three subcategories that interest you for your new product ideas.
Select one to three subcategories from the list. You can choose which you'd prefer to sell based on the hierarchy
Step 3: Keep an eye on Amazon's best sellers.
The best-selling products in each category reveal what people are willing to buy.
From here, you can forecast which products are likely to appeal to your target market and result in high
conversion rates. Take a look and make a list of a few products that catch your interest.
Bonus Tip: When designing an ecommerce store, you can take inspiration from the layout Amazon uses for
categories and subcategories.
Get ideas from Pinterest's pins and comments
Pinterest offers a unique marketing mix. Getting ideas is quite easy.
Check out your feed.
Look for pins
Examine the comments on the pins.
Only pins in your chosen interest areas will appear in your feed. If you can't find anything, change your interests
or search for pins using keywords.
You'll see fascinating concepts and new variations on existing products.
Comments on pins can sometimes provide fascinating ideas.
See What eBay Products Sell Using WatchCount
WatchCount displays the most popular eBay items.
You can gain ideas for how to build on your initial product from the most 'watched' products.
Make a list of popular products and those that you believe can be combined into a single product.
It is quite simple to use WatchCount.
Enter Your Keyword
Your keyword might be the name of your product.
The number of viewers or 'watchers' of the product is represented by the Watch Count. This allows you to find the
products that have sparked your interest the most.
Look through Amazon reviews for product modification ideas.
Analyzing customer reviews on Amazon is a simple approach to identify things to sell.
Step 1: Keep an eye out for dissatisfied customers.
Customers that are dissatisfied are fertile ground for new ideas. They make it clear what they desire.
Look for pain spots, distressing or disappointing aspects of an online transaction, or what customers are saying
about their experiences.
It does not have to be from one-star reviews all of the time. Even four or five stars can help you out.
Step 2: Modify That Product Using The Gripes
Take the customer's pain point and improve the product.
Do customers wish there was more room with more zippers?
Make a note of it.
You could have a product, a complaint, and potential answers to your complaint.
Try to come up with at least two potential solutions to the problems.
You may not be able to please everyone, but minor changes based on reviewers' concerns can go a long way.
Include a section for additional product adjustments. This section is for ideas that do not stem from client
feedback, but rather from your own creative juice.
Limit Your Options to Scalable Concepts
Scalable products are essential for a successful ecommerce business. You must develop.
Step 1: Consider Second-Sale Opportunities
Reselling to a consumer who has already purchased an item from you frequently necessitates fewer touches.
Upselling and cross-selling are two components of this strategy.
Consider products that are similar to those on your list.
Yoga mats, for example, are an option for cross-selling if you want to offer yoga leggings. You can provide a
subscription if you want to sell digital downloads or consumable products such as organic shampoo.
Step 2: Get Second Sale Opportunities from Amazon
Amazon's 'frequently bought together' section might provide ideas for things to cross-sell with your product.
Use Google Trends to Verify Demand Stability
The key to using Google Trends is to think of it as a market study tool for ecommerce rather than a keyword tool.
Google Adwords is a good place to seek for a keyword tool.
You'll have enough keywords for your ads, but Adwords isn't the best place to do ecommerce market research.
Google Trends is an excellent resource for determining market growth, stability, or decrease. You don't want to
launch an ecommerce brand with a product that won't sell the next year.
Check the trends from the start. You must determine whether or not interest has grown over time.
A sudden enormous increase in interest may not be beneficial in the long run. A constant trend is OK; an
increasing trend is preferable. Just make certain that the industry is not in decline.
