Keep away from oxidizing agents and combustible materials. Product is flammable.

8. Expose controls / personal protection equipment

8.1 Parameters to be monitored
Occupational Exposure Limits (DE) Activated Carbon (7440-44-0)
MAK: 5 mg / m³ Type of exposure: Respirable dust
MAK Short-term value: 10 mg / m³ Peak limitation 2x60 minutes per shift
Type of Exposure: Alveolar gangrene Dust

Derived No Exposure Exposure Level (DNEL)

Worker DNEL, long-term Local effects inhaled 3 mg / m³
Consumers DNEL, long-term Local effects inhaled 0.5 mg / m³

8.2 Exposure controls

Technical protection measures:
Technical protective measures and the application of appropriate working methods take precedence
over the use of personal protective equipment

Individual protection measures

Eye protection: wear suitable safety glasses (dust protection)
Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves if longer contact time is foreseeable; Glove material: nitrile rubber
with
0.11 mm thickness and> 480 min. Breakthrough time
Other protective measures: The MAK value is the general dust limit for inert dusts of 5 mg / m³; if
exceeded, a mechanical overload of the airway is possible.

Respiratory protection: required if dusts are generated

Recommended filter type / dust mask P1

Thermal hazards: no

Environmental exposure controls: no special measures required
