ACTIVITIES Target Date Persons Involved

School-level Pambansang Buwan at Araw ng November 7, 2022 All Teaching and


Pagbasa Kick-off. All teaching and non-teaching staff Non-Teaching
and students of Banna National High School are directed Staff, Students
to participate kick-off program during the flag ceremony
on November 7, 2022.
Mystery Reader/Reading Ambassador. The school November 7, 14, 21, Reading
may invite teachers and other school officials, parents, 2022 Ambassador and
and other stakeholders to be Reading Ambassadors for a All Teaching and
week. Our Reading Ambassadors shall be chosen for Non-Teaching
their love of reading and their enthusiasm to share with Staff, Students
others. Part of the job of a Reading Ambassador is to
encourage others in the school to read more and find
their own love of reading. This will be done every
Monday of November during flag ceremony.
9 o’ clock Reading Habit (Araw ng Pagbasa November 18 & 28, All Teaching
Challenge). All students, teaching and non-teaching 2022 and Non-
staff will drop everything and read. This is a fifteen to Teaching Staff,
thirty (15-30) minute activity that is devoted to reading Students
books or any materials given by the reading teachers.
FamiREAD. This is for all grade 7 students and will be Every weekend of Grade 7 Advisers,
done at home every week of November with the November Students, Parents
supervision of their parents/guardians:
1. All grade 7 students will be given copies of reading
stories for them to read it at home with their
parents.
2. The parents/guardians will guide their children in
the reading process. A reading checklist will be
given to them.
3. Students must submit the checklist answered by
their parent/guardian during their reading session.
.Classroom-level Read-A-Thon. This may be done for Every Monday to All students and
10 to 15 minutes of English or Filipino time: Friday of November language teachers
1. Each day for 10 to 15 minutes of the
English/Filipino time, a volunteer learner shall do
any of the following:
a. Story retelling
b. Oral Reading Interpretation
2. The story to be used shall be any storybook
(Filipino, English, local language) that is written by
a Filipino author.
WOW (Words of the Week)

Culminating Program November 28, 2022 All students,


The students will showcase their learnings/realizations Teaching and Non-
on the reading activities through any of the following: Teaching Staff
a. Artwork (It can be a poster/slogan, bookmarks, or
any art works depicting one of the stories they
read.)
b. Literary Piece (Any written work depicting one of
the stories they read.)
The school will establish a Book Pantry to showcase
the students’ works.
