Household appliances play a big role in modern families, and with the help of these machines, it doesn’t take too much time
for us to do our chores. Family members no longer argue about who does which housework, and they don’t have to do some
chores that they dislike, such as washing the dishes. They can enjoy their hobbies or relax in their free time. They also can
spend more time with their family or hang out with their friends. There are some disadvantages though. Modern devices,
especially those with advanced technology, might be expensive, so low-income households cannot afford them. Also,
people using appliances may become lazy as they might just do inactive activities like watching Netflix instead. Many
young people prefer to spend their spare time checking their social network accounts or playing video games. As a result,
they don’t care much about their loved ones and relationships in real life.
Technology is, therefore, not a solution to everything. If you don’t have enough money to buy appliances, discuss with
other family members to work out a chore schedule suitable for everyone. If you can afford these devices, remember to
make full use of the time they have saved for you.
