Description MCB status not closed while close request is active.
Causes - MCB status feedback signal missing
- Closing timeout to short
- Wrong control place selection or other faulty parameter setting, for example the delay time is
set too short for the MCB
- Malfunction of MCB. The main circuit breaker malfunction can be caused by different reasons
such as: manual control can override the control signals coming from the converter, the MCB has
tripped for some reason (e.g. vercurrent) and can not operate before it is reset or there is a fault
in the MCB control signals or in the MCB auxiliary power supply.
- Wiring in the MCB monitoring circuit may be loose.
- MCB close control fault is activated if the converter can not operate the MCB. Note! If the
converter control gives order that the MCB must be closing and the feedback "MCB is closed"
from MCB is not indicating after a specified time limit, this fault will be activated.
- S800 terminal unit broken
- S800 I/O Module faulty
Rectification 1 Check the MCB control parameters and make proper settings. Especially pay attention to set
the delay times correct.
