E-Tech Performance Task 2 Developing a Personal e-Portfolio: Basic Website Creation using
Wix.com

Overview:

The Final Term in our course, Empowerment Technologies focuses on the content creation in an online
environment- ergo, making the online environment more sensible, helpful and productive. This task is
designed to tackle the 3 Lessons in ICT as platform for Social Change.

Topics Covered:
Lesson 4: Developing ICT Project for Social Change
Lesson 5: Designing ICT Project for Social Change
Lesson 6: Publishing ICT Project for Social Change

Performance Task:
Your task is to develop a personal electronic portfolio (e-portfolio).
This performance task will allow you to create basic website using Wix.com

An e-portfolio is a purposeful collection of a student profile, work and demonstrations, which showcase
student's learning progression in the said course. The e-portfolio embodies the student's reflections on
his or her learning at the same time showcasing his or her achievements.

For the first part of this task, you are to create your Profile Section containing 3 Tabs. Below are the
specifications and technical requirement per tab for your Profile Section:

PART I. Profile Section Creation

Tab 1: About Me

About Me Tab. It’s one of the most important components of


your portfolio. It’s where personal connections go allowing your
audience to learn about who you are and what you do. This section
will give you an avenue to promote your personal brand. Include
your name and your best profile picture. A good use of font and
color scheme may give a good impact and impression.

You may write content in first person point view and may contain

Hobbies/Interests Tab. Taking a hobby and amazing skills make


Hobbies/Interests
you happy and can help you reduce stress, get more focused, and
unleash creative brainpower. This tab adds excitement for your
audience to connect in their context of same skills and talents!

You may write content in first person point view and may contain
one or two paragraphs that simply talk about your hobbies. Include
images or video on how you do things to add color and catch your
audience even more.

TAB 3: Gallery

Gallery Tab. This tab will let you showcase your progress Exhibit 1. Performance Tasks in
in our course and good documentation of your amazing E-Tech
works (arts, crafts, etc.)

This shall be one-page layout exhibiting 2 important


parts. Don’t worry because you may choose gallery set
up/layout from the various templates available at Wix. Exhibit 2. Creative Works

Exhibit 1 shall showcase a link, screen grab, or a picture


of your performance tasks. Remember you have
previously done 3 Tasks in Microsoft Office Applications.

Exhibit 2 shall showcase multimedia content of your


creative works, music or favorite playlist, a slideshow of
your glow-up, etc. Excite your audience with your
content! 5-8 images/content in this gallery may do!

For your Submission: Just upload/enter your WEBSITE’S DOMAIN NAME in the
LMS Dropbox.
