Guide for user access

STEP1: Procedure to open command prompt

Enter Windows + R will show you the "RUN" box where you can type “cmd” and Click on ”OK”.

STEP2: Ping the NMS server IP (172.30.6.17) in command prompt.

Please enter command as mentioned below in red color and find sample screenshot below.

# ping 172.30.6.17

If pinging please check the hostname entries as mentioned in below 2.1 point
STEP 2.1: Make entry in host file:
Windows User

1. Open notepad as 'Administrator' Privilege


2. Open the host file from the below Path

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Please add the entries mentioned below and save

Linux User

1. Login as root
2. Open the host file from the below Path

vi /etc/hosts
Please add the entries mentioned below and save

STEP 2.2: If NMS server IP (172.30.6.17) is not pinging. Please add the NMS server IP pools in your
“Local Router”.

Please find below the BBNMS IP Pool to be added in Aggregate Router and L3 switches to allow access
through CDR VPN

DC- 172.30.6.0/24

DR-172.30.22.0/25

After adding the BBNMS IP Pools repeat the step 2 as mentioned above. If it is
pinging please find the Web portal URL mentioned below.

3. For Fault, Performance, Inventory and ticketing monitoring portal:

WebPortal URL:  http://bbnmsportal.nms.bsnl.co.in:8080/WebPortal/login.jsp

Use existing Username and Password used to login

After logged into this portal, password can be changed via: MY PROFILE

Also Pl update Mobile number and email ID.
