ABSTRACT

Employees are the backbone of any company therefore their management plays a major role
in deciding the success of an organization. Employees Record Management Software makes
it easy for the employer to keep track of all records. This software allows the administrator to
edit employees, add new employees, update employees Record, Delete employees Record ,
Manage Salary of employees according to grade and Designation and Salary plan according
to work . Each employee in the database is associated with a position can be added and edited
when need arises. Employees can be transferred between positions easily without having to
retype back their information in the database. You can check to see if there are duplicate
positions/employees in the database. Most of all, the employer can assign tasks to employees
and assess their progress in order to keep track of employee performance.
A flexible and easy to use Employee Record Management software solution for small and
medium sized companies provides modules for personnel information management thereby
organization and companies are able to manage the crucial organization asset – people. The
combination of these modules into one application assures the perfect platform for re-
engineering and aligning Human Resource processes along with the organizational goals.
This system brings about an easy way of maintaining the details of employees working in any
organization.
It is simple to understand and can be used by anyone who is not even familiar with simple
employees Record Management system. It is user friendly and just asks the user to follow
step by step operations by giving easy to follow options. It is fast and can perform many
operations for a company.
The goal of this project is to design and develop an employee management system to fill
existing gaps in the management of employees.
Introduction
The Entire System of employees Record management using Graphical user interface is
designed to remove problems in existing system and the organization will meet its Specific
aims .One of the most important aims from the system to provide detail profile of each
employee. As a result the system is most important for improving other systems of
Organization of like Human Resources Management. The Role of Employees Record
Management System is to centralize the repository of staff data including Personal data and
Salary Record. An Effective employee management system helps to generate accurate and
timely employee information to fulfill the objectives. Employees Record Management
System keeps the Record of Employee Personal Data and Salary Record. It Manages Salary
of Employee According to the Working and Designation. Without an Employees Record
Management system, it is tedious to control Employees.

Problem Description
The Problem definition for designing the system is to maintain data of employee, to make
easy controlling of employ, to divide jobs and access control between employees, to use
technology for accurate and timely processing by fully privacy and fully authority access.

Research Objective
 To design an Employees Record Management System for Dawood Hercules
Corporation.

 To design a database to store employee information.


 To design a user friendly front end for the user to interact with the system.

Project Scope
The scope of the project is to present the initial steps in the implementation of Employees
Record Management System based on saturation. In this method, intend to keep personal
record of employee and the salary record of employees. It will be able to add, search, store,
update and delete data of employees. It is difficult for keeping and saving record manually by
a person. Employees Record management system can help to keep record easily.

Significant Study
This project will be able to add data of four types of employees, Permanent employees,
Hourly employee, Engineer employees and Supervisor Employees Record with their Personal
data and Salary.
 It will be able to set salary plan for all employees according to their grade and
designation.
 It will be able to search and delete data of employees.
 It will be able to Update Data of employees.

Literature Review
The benefits of automation are becoming widely known to Human Resource and other areas
of the business. The focus has shifted to automating as many transactions as possible to
achieve effectiveness and efficiencies.

The technology of the future will be about speedy access to accurate current information, and
reliability to access this information via multiple systems will give organizations a strategic
edge.

Methodology
Object Oriented Programming Technique Java will be used to Create Employee management
System Desktop Application with Graphical User interface .MS Access will be used to Store
and Keep data of Employees in Database. Waterfall Model will be used to design this
system.

These are tools and technology that can be utilized to accomplish the project objectives.
