METHODOLOGY FOR GROUTING WORK

The purpose of the grouting work is for pump foundation bolt and base plate fixing.

 Structure to be grouted is checked thoroughly in presence of third party and


client and permission taken to start the grouting work.
 MTC and invoice of ordered grout material checked verified by third party and
condition of grout checked and one sample sent to external lab for test.
 Bolt pockets cleaned of debris and any organic matter with application of blower
and curing of surfaces to be grouted done 4 hours before grouting to be started,
to avoid absorption of moisture from grouting.
 Grout bag mixed with help of electrical mixer with water powder ratio 0.16 as
per manufacturer guideline, for minimum 5 minutes to ensure proper mixing.
 Grout poured with caution for half pocket 1st time then full grouting after master
level completed.
 Similar process followed for every pumps.
 Record of material consumed per pump shall be maintained properly.
 Curing of grouted surfaces done for at least 7 days with hessian cloth, as per
manufacturer guideline.
 Cubes casted for 7 days and 28 days compressive strength and sent to external
lab for testing.
