Group Assignment
This assignment contribute 20% to the total subject assessment.
Create a short video based on the topic below:
“Perfect Competition is a market structure where all firms sell an identical product, a price
takers and market share has no influence on prices”. Explain this statement by highlighting
important features of this kind of a perfect market. Support your answer by a live
example.”
Video Submission Requirements:
Video should be between 5 – 7 minutes (includes introduction and conclusion).
Each group should have clear individual role for each members in completing the video. i.e.
Director, Storyline, Videographer, Editor, etc.
Narrators of the video must be a member from the group and subtitles are COMPULSORY to be
included throughout the video.
The video can take any format depending on the group’s creativity. i.e. documentaries,
instructional, story-telling or stop motion.
Marks will be based on the students’ ability to correctly apply market structure related into the
video and the ability to accurately and articulately explain this market structure.
Group leaders are responsible to the submission of video.
Video must be emailed to atirah@utem.edu.my
Content of video must include:

Title of video
Disclaimer – “This video is prepared only for educational purpose”
o Main Content:
At least 5 minutes of content story
Describe monopolistic competition as a market structure.
Identify how price and quantity are determined in monopolistic competition
One of the characteristics of monopolistic competition is product differentiation.
Elaborate product differentiation and give example of the product.
