Wearing Plate/Centre Piece/Bottom Flange for lower Sp. Beam: IS 2062 is India standard covers the requirements of steel including micro-alloyed steel plates, strips, shapes and section. Suitable for welded, bolted and riveted structures and for general engineering purposes with yield strength around 250 MPa and Tensile Strength around 410 Mpa. Channel/ Top Flange for lower Sp. Beam: It is a standard material used in Indian railways with a Tensile Strength of 450 MPa and Yield Strength of 340 Mpa hence it is ideally suited for bending, drilling and shearing operations.
