Nouns are of five types:

1. Proper noun
A proper noun is the name of a particular person, place,
thing or animal.
Example: Nirmal, Delhi, the Ganges.

2. Common noun
A common noun is the name given to the class/type of a
person, place, animal or thing.

Example:girl, horse, cousin.

3. Collective noun:
A collective noun is the name of a group or collection of
things or animals.
