Colorsteel Systems Corporation, hereinafter called “Colorsteel”, warrants that the COLORSTEEL PREPAINTED GALVALUME ROOFING MATERIALS (ZAP 55) are manufactured from prime quality cold-rolled steel materials hot dipped galvanized and oven-baked painted to conform to the specifications of the JIS Standards.
Colorsteel further warrants that the COLORSTEEL PREPAINTED GALVALUME ROOFING MATERIALS (ZAP 55) shall be free perforation as a result of rusting due to natural weathering for a period of TEN (10) YEARS from date of delivery of the said materials. However, natural reduction of paint gloss and natural change in color of the paint finish of the product caused by normal weathering are not covered by this warranty.
Warranty shall also be subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. All roofing materials of the project should be roll-formed, supplied and installed by Colorsteel. 2. This warranty is extended only to the owner of the product as duly indicated in the contract. 3. This warranty covers only perforation as a result of weathering in the natural elements. Any perforation, partly or wholly caused by any of the following is not covered:
a. Deterioration or damage to the product due to non-compliance with Colorsteel’s proper
maintenance procedures and recommendations. b. Installation of the product within 5Km radius from marine or industrial environments. c. Installed pitch of the roof is less than 5 degrees above the horizontal. d. Mechanical, chemical corrosion or other deteriorations or damages sustained by the product due to improper handling and storage after delivery. e. Deterioration or damage caused by attacks from chemical agents, fumes, liquids or solids other than rain falling onto the product under warranty. f. Direct contact of the product with soils, ashes, fertilizers, timber and other wet materials or moisture-retaining substances. g. Exposure to corrosive fumes and chemicals within severe industrial settings. h. Deterioration or damage caused by metallic contact of the product with copper or lead. i. Failure to remove grime leaves and other debris deposited on the roof and / or failure to provide and maintain free-flow of water including internal condensation from all surfaces of the product. j. Voluntary application of chemicals or materials that proved harmful and incompatible to the product. k. Projects subject to unusually corrosive environments at any time in the future. l. Force majeure and other acts of God such as riot, fire, earthquake, storm, etc. beyond the control of Colorsteel. 4. Should perforation by natural weathering occur during the warranty period, Colorsteel’s liability shall be limited exclusively to the repair or replacement of the affected portion free of charge. Colorsteel shall not be liable for any injury to persons, or damage to any property or consequential losses that could arise from the use of the product. 5. This warranty shall become effective only upon proper acknowledgement / acceptance of the Notice of Completion of works by the customer and full payment of the contract amount.
This warranty is issued on January 13, 2020 City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
