A PREFACE TO THE SEVENTH EDITION... ‘The worldwide acceptance and popularity of the Telsmith Handbook since its inception in 1953 dictates that we must keep it accurate and up-to- date in its concept. This seventh edition has some information not contained in earlier additions along with some deletions and revisions to keep the handbook as accurate as possible. November of 1981 marked Telsmith’s 75th Anni- versary for which the slogan “Since 1906, carving ‘our name in tock for 75 years”, was coined. This is ‘an appropriate statement since we started out in 1906 manufacturing equipment for processing ores and aggregates and have continuously done Whether your interest is in a single unit, or 2 completely integrated processing plant, Telamith Engineering experience in producing aggregate and mining machinery of all types insures profit- able production of high grade material. All along the processing line, Feeders, Grizzlies, Crushers, Scalpers, Classifiers, Washing Plants, Sizing Screens, Conveyors, Telsmith Equipment is, processing material for all phases of industry. Feel free to consult Telsmith skilled engineering. services whenever you are in doubt as to how to proceed or to relieve yourself of all technical de- tails. You can be sure your plant will be modern and a real money maker! It is our sincere hope this handbook will help you in selecting, operating and maintaining our qual- ity product’ line, thus assuring profits in your operation. ‘TELSMITH Milwaukee, Wisconsin RTT TELSMITH FEEDERS ‘Telsmith Feeders are used for holding and regu- lating surge loads and to promote steady supply to maximize production in processing plants. ‘These feeders are offered in four types to match material size, feed rate requirements, location and if fed from truck, shovel, loader, or mounted under a surge bin. Vibra. ing Grizzly Feeders have features similar to the Vi- brating Feeder plus grizzly bars for separating fines from crusher fee. This feeder increases crushing plant production and reduces crusher liner wear because fines have been bypassed around the primary crusher. [Both feeders are available in widehs from 36° through ‘72° and from 12' through 22' long. Grizzly sections are ‘straight or stepped. The stepped version tumbles stone to the lower section thus offering more efficient scalp ing.
