SHOES FOR EVERYONE: FOCUS ON TEENAGERS
Questions: (cite your sources)
1. If given a chance to help Mr. Abad with his plan, what would you do?
a) Through assessing who he should be targeting, he would be able to narrow down
his inventory lists and cut down on unnecessary transactions that will lead to
product obsolescence. He may also concentrate on meeting demand that is driven
by the current trend. By choosing what to keep in his inventory, he could easily
cope no matter how dramatic the shift in the trend was.
2. Is narrowing his product line helpful for the business? why?
a) In Mr. Abad's case, he can concentrate on focusing in on a specific segment
within the industry so that he can better fulfill their demands. With that, he will
most likely seize the chance to win the part. He now has the means to
communicate with a market that is receptive and willing to purchase what he has
to sell by building a stronger link between his goods and his customers.
3. What are the advantages of selling customized products?
a) Customer engagement. Brand customization and personalization will easily
involve the customers. Adding a little personalization to goods based on customer
tastes is bound to improve them. One of the best ways to differentiate yourself in
the market and increase customer loyalty is to give them something they haven't
seen before.
b) Brand recognition. Personalization and customization of items will do wonders
for brand awareness. Nowadays, online exposure and popularity are critical for
business success, and creating a product that people can talk about will result in a
lot of publicity for your company.
c) Competitive advantage. Having goods that are not only special in their own
right, but also rather appealing to customers, will provide you with a major
competitive advantage in the market. So much so that customers are willing to
pay up to 25% more for personalized or customized products. Brand
personalization will not only increase your company's profitability and bottom
line, but it will also enable you to gain a larger market share for your goods.
d) Customer loyalty. Getting new customers is no longer enough to ensure the
company's sustainability. Repeat and loyal customers are essential for running a
profitable business that thrives in the market. You can easily guarantee that
consumers can return to buy from you and even become repeat customers by
adding personalization to goods. Loyalty is a reward in and of itself, not just in
terms of revenue.
e) Improved visibility and presence. You will increase your online exposure and
presence by attracting customers with personalized and tailored items. You will
build a positive and long-lasting relationship with your customers, which will
boost your company's market influence. You stand to gain more media coverage,
more visibility to a larger audience, and increased organic traffic to your website,
among other benefits.
