REFLECTION ON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Professional development is important either in personal aspect or in an organization.
This plan will develop my knowledge and skills in teaching. In education, professional
development is very important to enhance a teacher potential that will allow him/her to be
better in the field of education. The plan will be a guide to evaluate what competencies that
needed to be given importance.
With the development in the field of research and as one of the main developments of
21st century learning, it really needs full attention and mastery as it postulates changes and
development over time in which I as a teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually
evaluates the effects of her choices and actions on others and who actively seeks out
opportunities to grow professionally.
As an Educator, we must keep on being acquainted of the important advances that are
occurring in education and this is needed to produce outstanding educational results for pupils.
Adequate teacher learning and practice time should be considered. Time needs to be built into
the system to allow teachers to collaborate, plan, and reflect as they learn.
A differentiated approach to professional development delivery that may include,
analysis of student’s work, mentoring of co-teachers will also meet the needs of teachers.
Especially in the writing portion of research, from conceptual phase the most crucial part where
it needs full attention and mentoring specially to impatient learners. It also needs more
speakers for the learners to gain more idea.
Dealing with the activities to be undertaken in my PDP builds up to encourage the
involvement of the education personnel inside and outside the school premises. My PDP also
serve as my guides in driving my path into more significant one as a subject matter expert.
The types of development activities serve as the tools to determine my potentials in
areas where I may not to carry out especially in the teaching learning process. These also
support my values and attitudes towards the diversity of the learners. One of my goals is to
provide a systematic, experience-based curriculum in RESEARCH and had to practice those
areas where I able to work on willingly. The impression from each activity will continuously
upgrade the standard and quality of teaching.
Though there are some barriers, but I believe and determined that those obstacles
cannot be hindered to my goals as the 21st century teacher subject matter expert. Once you
become a bit bored with your life or are fed up with your job, you may tend to start looking into
new activities which will get you back you zest for life. You can choose to dive into something
work-related, or, on the other hand, learn a new skill which you’ve never had time for before,
thus in making such activities are essential for professional development.
