Standard 4.

0: A building-level education leader applies knowledge that promotes the success of every student by collaborating with faculty and community
members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources on behalf of the school by collecting and analyzing
information pertinent to improvement of the school’s educational environment; promoting an understanding, appreciation, and use of the diverse cultural, social,
and intellectual resources within the school community; building and sustaining positive school relationships with families and caregivers; and cultivating
productive school relationships with community partners. In so doing, the building level leader ensures effective and ample use of technology in collaborating with
faculty and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources.

The SIP process drove all the decisions we were allowed
to make as a school. Eventually every decision was
made from there but when new decisions or changes
needed to happen we still had to make it fit into the
School Improvement Team prepared SIP for school including establising and plan. It was difficult to get peole to work seriously as a

Parent University was ana amazing concept that needs
a dedicted leader at the schol level. I thoght we had a
great plan together and got a good start but due to
covid changes adn low staff buy in Parent University
largly stalled and remains a future goal. During the
pandmeic families had less time to collaborate as they
lead schoo staff to create and delvier parent were struggling to survive or find work and time for
2019-2020 Leader of Parent University classes regarding technology and needed skills 1 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 thier families.
Planning school wide events and ensuring the logisitcs
make a smoth program was really interesting to me. I
Facilitated Business NIghts, learned to plan and collaborate with staff and the
Career Days, and community Detroit v. Everyboday, Paster Joe Evans community and I learned the improitance of protmoting
2018-2021 partnerships congration 1 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 the event and thinkking everything through.
Planning PD and parent learning focused on technology
and curriculum has special challenges in that th
econtent my not interest everyone. These type of
school events can relaly assit witha positive culture but
also require solid staff and parent buy i to be successful.
