Assignment 1 (Biographical Research):

Assignment description: A biographical research  is a study of a person's life and learning


about interesting facts and opinions about him.

Objectives:

Upon the completion of this assignment students will be able to:

 Identify the steps to conduct a small scale biographical research.


 Influenced, motivates, and learn about the successes that different personalities have
achieved.
 Recognize the hardships that a historical or contemporary personality has faced and relate
them to their own struggles.

Task:

Select any one historical or contemporary Pakistani personality who worked or working for the
betterment and welfare of the people and the country. Present your work in a form of booklet.

Instructions:

Follow these steps to complete your assignment 1 (biographical research)

1. Selection of a personality

2. Searching and reading of contents from books and/or internet (Avoid Wikipedia)
a) Early life/childhood
b) Education
c) Personality
d) work/accomplishments/ achievements/successes
e) failures/challenges
f) any other significance
g) Your learning/how would you relate it to your life/

3. Make a textual (writing) and pictorial (pictures) based booklet of 8-10 pages.

4. Add references (books or web links in the given format)

Assignment 2 (Explore and Report)

Objectives:

Upon the completion of this assignment students will be able to:

 Recognize the culture and customs of any one European country.


 Compare differences and similarities of Western /European culture to their own culture.
 Identify the steps to report their findings as a newspaper article.

Task: Consider yourself as a newspaper reporter who has visited a European country. Make a
newspaper article on the given templet to report your findings related to the following aspects of
that culture. You can also draw or paste pictures related to your findings.
