Tutorial-3 Ans

This document provides tutorial material for a communications and networks fundamentals course, including assignment problems on encoding data streams using different encoding schemes such as unipolar, NRZ-L, NRZ-I, Manchester, and differential Manchester encoding. It asks students to encode sample data streams using these various encoding schemes and extract clock and data information from a Manchester encoded stream. It also asks students to identify which encoding schemes use differential encoding and to sketch waveforms for different encoding schemes.

5.6 For the bit stream 01001110, sketch the waveforms for each of the
codes of Table 5.2. Assume that the signal level for the preceding bit
for NRZI was high; the most recent preceding 1 bit (AMI) has a
negative voltage;
5.11 Given the bit pattern 01100, encode this data using ASK, BFSK,
and BPSK.
