The document provides instructions for automatically calibrating the encoder for SCHOTTEL service engineers. Engineers are instructed to move the setpoint and feedback encoder to a start position, insert a CAN jumper, power on the card, and provide 3 short 24V signals to the pickup input within 10 seconds. The LED will indicate when parameterization is complete, which may take a few minutes. Then the jumper is removed and the card is powered on again.

1. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Card. 2. Move Setpoint and Feedback Encoder to ahead or to zero and make sure the Encoder stay in this position till parameterisation is done. 3. Insert CAN Jumper 8. 4. Switch ON the DCM Card. 5. Give 3 times a short 24V Signal on the pick up Input (12c). This needs to be done within 10 seconds after switching ON the DCM Card.
=>The LED ”controller” on DCM is emitting during parameterisation.
Wait till the LED is OFF. =>The green LED ”in service” will stay ON during the parameterisation. =>The parameterisation may take a few minutes!
6. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Card.
7. Remove CAN Jumper 8 8. Switch ON the DCM Card 10 V1.5 June. 07 SCHOTTEL for The Shipping World MBE / RSC, TEE
