The speed dial calibrations involve submodes c01 and submode c02.
Note: Always perform both the full clockwise calibration and the full counter-clockwise calibration
for the speed dial.
1. Turn the key start switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
2. Enter calibration mode 2 on the ECM display. To do so, press and hold the ECM Mode switch
until "- 2 -" is showing in the display area. Submode c01 should be displayed which will
confirm that the calibration mode has been entered.
3. Submode c01 should be displayed if the machine is in calibration mode and the engine is not
running. If submode c01 is displayed, go to Step 5. If submode c01 is not displayed, go to the
next step.
4. Enter submode c01 (speed dial full clockwise). In order to do so, press and hold the display
mode switch in the increment position until "c01" is displayed.
6. Store the value of the signal currently being sent from the speed dial sensor. In order to store
the value, press and hold the display mode switch in the CLEAR/STORE position. While the
switch is pressed, the red indicator (not accepted) or the amber indicator (accepted) will briefly
flash. Observe the status of these indicator's while the switch is in the CLEAR/STORE position.
Release the display mode switch.
If the red indicator flashed (not accepted), check that the speed dial is in the full clockwise position.
Refer to the "PWM Sensor Calibrations Are Not Accepted" module in this section of the manual.

Repeat Step 6. If the red indicator is flashing again or if a diagnostic code CID 012 FMI F00 or CID
012 FMI F01 is active, replace the speed dial PWM sensor.
When the c01 full clockwise calibration has been performed and accepted, perform the following c02
full counter-clockwise calibration procedure.
1. Enter submode c02 (speed dial full counter-clockwise). In order to enter c02, press and hold the
display mode switch in the increment position until "c02" is displayed.
If the amber indicator flashed, the calibration has been accepted and the speed dial calibrations are
now complete. Change to a different submode or return the ECM to normal operation (mode 0).
If the red indicator flashed. The calibration has not been accepted. Ensure that the dial is fully
counter-clockwise. Refer to the "PWM Sensor Calibrations Are Not Accepted" module in this section
of the manual. Repeat Step 3. If the red indicator is flashing again or if a CID 012 FMI F00 or CID
012 FMI F01 is active, replace the speed dial PWM sensor.
